I've been getting "Call Failed" on about 25% of my phone call attempts since 4.3.1. It's really, really annoying.

This site doesn't mention a 8 GB 3GS but its clear from the apple store that the product does exist.

Sounds like someone needs to update this at apple.

How'd you do the dock like that? I've never messed with my icons or dock before but I like how nice and clean that looks.

Never mind the dock. The chick is hot. Who is she?

Funny how NC law forbids the sale of handguns to anyone under 21, but you're 21 and you already have 2 expensive guns (and the iPhone you took the photo with). And yet you have to run a racket to be able afford a guitar.

Why not? The USA for example has only 4 million miles of roads. A car with driver + passenger + some decent equipment should be able to map say 10 miles per hour, at a cost of $50 per hour.

That's exactly what OpenStreetMap does. I know that it isn't widely used within the US (as most American hate OpenSource because it hurts the industry, see Firefox for instance: 70% marketshare in Europe, almost none in the US) but for example in some countries and parts of Europe OSM is much better than Nateq or Teleatlas maps as OSM users basically track *everything*, even the smallest trails which is just great for hiking or mountainbiking.

Then writing it up and trying to make it intelligible when this is a very high-tech topic took a few days. And here we are less than a week later."

Translation: We are Apple. We know you're stupid.

Having seen some of the incredibly misguided comments here and elsewhere about this issue, I'm inclined to agree with Apple on this one. You would think frequenters of forums like these would grasp the concept of a 'cache', but I can assure you, many don't

Can you post a link for the cookie monster?

Someone asked for it last month and it was never posted and I couldn't find it using TinEye.

    Thanks!
I made one in 1920x1200. If your monitor is 1680x1050, select Fit to Screen and it will look right.

    Welp... Got Notes 7.02 today.

Visually, it looks "fatter". The fonts are more substantial. Almost bold in look. It also looks more "modern" if you will.. or more "mac-like".
The installer actually uses the default OS X installer. That's nice.
The whole BS "Lotus Notes" directory with all it's turds is replaced by a nice Notes.app applicaiton bundle. That's nice.
They added Safari as an option for URL handlers. That's nice.
It upgraded 6.5.x just fine, though I had moved my data directory to my home directory a while back, not sure (yet) how the upgrade will go if one's data directory still exists in the app's hierarchy.
It IS a Universal Binary! WooHoo!! That's REALLY nice!

It's still a carbon app. That's NOT nice. You'll notice the old MacOS watch icon. A sure sign of a carbonized app.
It still uses BinHex 4.0 as the default Mac attachment encoder. That's NOT nice.

I don't know how it handles emails with embeded java or HTML (I'm sure other users have experienced Notes crashes when reading some emails with HTML in them). Wait and see on that one.
It seems to be a bit faster, despite being a carbon app still. Wait and see on that one.

I don't think that I'm physically able to give blood.
I had to get 2 of those small vials they use for blood tests, and I couldn't even walk and passed out. That is not a lot of blood.
I don't weigh very much (107 lbs 5'8"). Is this normal or something about which I should be concerned?

I'd say that is rather light indeed. If this is the only problem you experience with it, though, I'd say you needn't be too concerned. Just try to put on a few pounds in the long run, no biggy. And until then, your own physical health comes first.

BIG thumbs up to MacRumors for doing this, and to all who donate. I've donated a few times, always got me feel sick for about an hour or so afterwards, sometimes more than others. Since it didn't seem to be decreasing after a few donations, I decided to not donate for a while. Actions like these get me to reconsider. Which is a good thing IMO.

Edit: And as to the gay men being unable to: that sucks. I'm not wanting to get into the discussion, but I think I see where it comes from and I think it's kinda ********.

Its also law. They are legally not allowed to refuse a manufacturers warranty based on which shop you bought it from (At least in the UK - it would be mind numbingly idiotic of any government to allow them to refuse it).
In the UK, you are contracted to the retailer you bought it from. They are responsible for the product for six years. We have good laws in place to protect the consumer. I find it hard to understand why people never use their rights under laws such as the Sales of Goods Act.

A warranty is an insurance policy. Apple Care in the UK is not a policy from Apple, but a third party insurance company that they are contracted with. Can't remember the name of the company.

Apple are pretty good at repairing out of guarantee/Apple Care products, even when these times have lapsed. Had a power supply and logic board in my 4 year old iMac replaced for free. Sales of Goods Act is your best friend. :)

Bisexuality was openly accepted. You do realize thatEurope's population is expected to fall catastrophically due to a low birth rate

    And that concerns you how??

Have sex with someone of the opposite gender isn't exactly a homosexual thing, in-vitro fertilisation is immoral and the government can opt not to allow homosexuals adoption privilege.

    Wow.

ACT UP made some people glad for AIDS, "God's curse on sodomites". Treating people like crap doesn't exactly improve relations

Double wow, without a disclaimer from you.

I do believe your time here would be better spent somewhere else.

    Please.
